Alright, I am getting to the point where i cant handle all of the people giving it to Larry for not playing well. This infuriates me. Yes, I will admit that he is not playing nice in the sandbox right now, but honestly, I dont care. Hes a football player, not a public relations speaker. Hell, thats one of the reasons I like him so much because after a game where the coaching has been atrocious, I can't count on Larry to voice my opinion. I would way rather this then get the LT response where he cries a bit and just talks about some crap someone told him to say. However, back to my original point. Firstly, I have had enough of listening to people talk about Larry not hitting the hole hard anymore. The reason Larry is as good as he is is that he is a patient runner. When we first drafted him, he was far to aggresive and never let his blocking develop. Once he did, he exploded on to the scene replacing Priest Holmes. Now, Larry johnson is trying to let the holes develop while nothing is happening because he is running behind a horrific line that is consistently dominated at the LOS. However, when his line does open the odd hole, he breaks off a big run. He is still running the same speed, just his players are actually making a block. For all of you that think another running back would preform better (aka LT), here is the only thing that would be different, the new runningback would be injured. There is nothing, i repeat nothing a running back can do if he is being hit the second he receives the ball. If any of you have ever played RB in highschool or college (i have) then you can understand how frustrating it is to not be given a chance. Should he refrain from spiking the ball, yes. Should he be content with his O-line, no. Please, all I am saying is lay off LJ while the offense is struggling. Please dont give my that money Bullsh*t either. If he was in it for the money then he probably wouldn`t have made it this far. Lets not forget that without LJ, we dont make the playoffs last year. If you want to rag on LJ, go ahead. However, when the O line starts to block like NFL players and LJ starts ripping apart defenses again, PLEASE stay off the bandwagon!!! Thank you!
