The Kansas City Chiefs Prove Defense is Greater than Offense in Win Over the Bengals

Now that was fun! The Chiefs pulled off the win against the Cincinnati Bengals 27 to 20. Stats are here.

Tony Gonzalez is your new tight end touchdown record holder. Larry Johnson went over 100 yards (in the first half no less) for the second time this season. And our defense played like we all expected it would.

Put your post game thoughts in here. Fantastic game threads by the way. I'm having a great time participating.

GO CHIEFS! The rest of this day will be great!

Congratulations, Damon! After what I will legitimately call a great game, you get 11 days off from criticism! I won't call for your head for a whole extra day! Nice job!

LJ: I won't make fun of your pouting or production at all this week! Nice job of actually putting your yards where your wallet is!

Actually we oculd be in first
after SD gets done crushing Oakland. We would then be tied with SD for first but since we beat them once already we would in fact be in first.

Oh yeah, we would be.
Damn.  Almost want to watch this OAK game more than NE/DAL.  NE will probably smoke 'em

Bummer
I am bummed we can not watch the SD-OAK game.  I am watching it via the Game Case on NFL.

Is Kurt Warner out?  I am playing against him in fantasy?

You play to win the game!

that's so sad
to be playing so inconsistently as we are and to be that close to first.

It doesn't say much for this division.

O line still needs to work a lot.
but notice how yanking Turley out is an improvement?

I said it before and will say it till he learns,  LJ MUST learn to block better.

it's a good win overall, give the boys some needed motivation and accomplishment.

Tony Gonzales.  What can you say. I call him this games MVP.

My personal football card collection has over 13 different cards of him.  one including a special jersey card.  He is a truly great player.

anyway, congrats to the Chiefs and let's keep learning from here.

LJ
Larry had a good first half rushing the ball but was stopped for minus yardage several times in the first half. makes you wonder how he'll performm in clutch situations like INDY last year

L.J.
I am still not at all impressed with Larry Johnson's play. He broke a couple good runs, but where was he in the second half? Fumble the ball out of the endzone and give it back when you should have been protecting the ball also? Throwing fits and getting penalties for delay of game? I am sorry, L.J was great, but holding out of camp, and his attitude is killing him right now. The only thing I will say that impressed me about him today is that he didn't talk after the win. He ran away after last weeks loss and didn't say a word. Atleast he did the same after a win.
