The Patience of Herm
Herm is patient to a fault. As in: he stuck with Trent Green waaaaay too long on January 6th. He should have put in Huard after halftime at the latest. Now he's waiting too long to start Croyle. What is Brodie doing now that he wasn't doing last year? Nothing. He's still taking practice reps, getting to know the system? If it takes him two years to get to know the system, then he isn't what we need.
Start Croyle now so we can see if he has what it takes THIS YEAR. If he doesn't, we get a good QBOTF in the draft next year.
Thoughts?

herm has lots of faults
but he is a better coach, IMO, than dick vermiel.
vermiel really only had one really good year, and in that year we choked away homefield advantage in the playoffs.
the reason we are the team we are today is vermiel couldnt draft at all (we have zero players still on our team from the 2001 AND 2002 drafts) and herm has had to get a lot of talent. the best teams build through the draft and add certain parts through FA, vermiel (because he was about to retire) practically built the entire team through free agency.
